As Visalia and surrounding area residents make summer travel plans, V-LINE, a shuttle service from Visalia to Fresno and back, has never been more essential. V-LINE allows riders easy access to Fresno Yosemite International Airport and their ever-expanding flights—including 24 added departures and one new non-stop flight. Airlines have made changes to their schedules in order to accommodate the increasing air service demand. As a result, airport officials predict the 2016 summer surge to be bigger than ever.

“Our airline partners have acknowledged the increase in number of passengers expected to travel this summer by adding flights and capacity to meet the demand,” said Director of Aviation Kevin Meikle. “The airlines’ commitment to provide additional capacity in our market will significantly contribute to the airport’s continued passenger growth.”

Destinations with increased service include Denver, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles and Guadalajara, Mexico, plus a new direct flight to Phoenix-Mesa. Flights twice daily on American Airlines to Dallas Fort Worth will transition to a 737-8 aircraft to increase seating capacity.

There are also daily flights to Las Vegas and Seattle. V-LINE offers riders a convenient connection to these additional flights, with six trips daily beginning at 4 a.m. to allow people to catch the earliest flights. V-LINE operates seven days a week, except for certain holidays.

Guests will save on gas, eliminate parking costs and be able to relax while riding on V-LINE’s wheelchair-accessible shuttles, which offer USB charging ports, free Wi-Fi, storage racks for luggage and comfortable seats. Visit RideVLINE.com to check the schedule and plan an itinerary for simplified travel.

Travelers are encouraged to arrive two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights in order to allow enough time to complete the airline check-in and security screening processes.
