The money from Hertfordshire County Council to the Hartham Lane business, which is run by Everyone Active, will pay for two changing beds, a hoist and chair for the pool and hoist track systems, which will enable visitors to move around the changing areas, showers and toilets more easily.
Work is under way and the upgraded facilities are due to be officially completed this month.
“The combination of the changing room improvements and new hoist will significantly improve accessibility for our disabled customers,” said Chris Yearley, the general manager.
“We put in a bid for the capital grant and are delighted we were successful.
“We already run popular swim sessions every Saturday for our disabled customers, their families, parents and carers.
“We hope the new facilities will encourage even more people with disabilities to get fit and active.”
