Oxygen To Go, LLC, was recognized by Delta Airlines and its Advisory Board on Disability for “significant contributions, providing an environment where people with and without disabilities can learn to provide accessible service to all passengers.” Medical Director Dr. Brent Blue and Director of Operations David Hughes accepted the award at the annual meeting of the Board in Detroit on August 8th, 2014 from Delta Airlines Disability Program Manager David Martin.
“We are very proud to provide oxygen services to Delta passengers making airline travel accessible to oxygen requiring passengers” said Dr. Blue. “Oxygen patients should not be restricted in their activities due to their oxygen requirements and facilitating their freedom of movement is exciting for us.”
Blue also credited Mr. Hughes and his team at Oxygen To Go for their tremendous efforts for oxygen patients.

Sr.Ricardo, por favor vamos lutar para que retorne o transporte gratuito por avião para cadeirantes, pois quando muito tempo em viagens de ônibus, pode causar má circulação sanguínea, causando mal estar e pode dar escaras e quem já tem escara, afeta-a, fica mais inflamada, causando febre e isso tudo se deve ao fato de permanecer horas sentados na mesma posição. Até tempos atrás, somente a empresa Gol fazia o transporte de deficientes, mas está se recusando em continuar com o transporte, devido ser somente esta empresa prestar serviço à essa clientela e não acha justo.Peço a colaboração para solicitar ajuda quanto à esse problema, solicitando á todas as empresas de avião ofertar esse transporte. Agradeço antecipadamente.

A Gol estava transporrtando pessoas com deficiência de graça, como parte de uma multa que colocaram à empresa. Quitado essa multa, o serviço finalizou. Além disso, não concordamos em fornecer passagens aéreas gratuitas pelo fato da pessoa possuir uma deficiência. Consideramos assistencialismo, e acreditamos que a pessoa com deficiência tem condições de trabalhar e comprar suas passagens assim como qualquer outra pessoa. Lutamos sim, que nessa passagem paga, seja fornecido acessibilidade com dignidade e segurança, o que ainda não acontece.
