About 14 people turned up to dance teacher Gemma Hayward’s class at Montem Leisure Centre.
Gemma, 27, who has been running the classes since December, said: “It’s a great experience.
“Dance can give people confidence, make them happy and improve flexibility and mobility so it is really great for wheelchair users.
“The people that come along really enjoy it. One older gentleman’s carer said they had never seen him laughing and smiling so much.”
Slough Borough Council received funding last year from Sports England to run a Get Active Slough programme and with the money, they enlisted Gemma’s company, Key Actuate, to run the Disability Dance lessons.
Classes are free and open to anyone with any type of disability and run from 10.30-11.30am on Wednesdays and Fridays.
